Communication and engagement

Do talking and action really have to be mutually exclusive? Communication is fundamental to our survival and success as a species, and at The Resilience Programme we place great importance on getting it right, after all ‘connectedness’ is a key characteristic of resilience.

We communicate in our coaching sessions, workshops, and seminars through the verbal and written word, and our programme teaches a shared language by which individuals can understand themselves and one another more readily, so that true and lasting change can take place.

And then, we take this to the next level! We recognise that the key to change and learning a new skill is repetition, and so during those times that formal training or coaching is not taking place, we’ll ensure that we keep in touch with timely emails that keep you informed and engaged. This means that our key messages are reinforced and the changes that you are making are more likely to be sustainable.

We will explore with you the unique communication channels in place within your organisation so that we can work with what works. In the past we have attended team briefings, taken a place on an organizations’ intranet page, or contributed to an in house newsletter. In addition we send topical emails and newsletters and offer you access to our dedicated portal which is packed full of interesting articles and tips.

Through all of this, we build a shared connection, a sense of community and a lasting relationship of trust and openness.

The win-win nature of communications

Of course, communications meet our needs as well as yours. We value being a trusted partner within your organisation and want to know and understand the people within it. By maintaining regular contact with you we are able to respond to situations as they arise, keep up to date with changes that may be taking place, and further understand your emerging and changing needs.

In addition, we encourage a two way dialogue with everyone involved within the programme. We want to hear feedback and actively seek it out – and we encourage each and every person we meet to share their stories of success, as well as their challenges, so that they can gain access to a mutually supportive community.

Moreover, we openly invite being measured by our clients. We invite regular feedback on our services and we give general and confidential feedback on trends we identify within the organisation as areas for development.  We recognise how critical it is to keep this communication channel flowing for a more accurate and measurable idea of how effective our resilient training and support is. In addition, we encourage that clients act on feedback - and here is the key to building trust and achieving change.
